Abortion...

I was wondering how many of the members here think, feel or believe that abortion is something that the Lord approves of. It is legal....but is it acceptable per the Bible? (Gods word)
Is it murder...or is it the final and best method of birth control?

Children are blessings from God...Why would you kill your blessings? Well, I for one think that abortion is murder so it violates one of the Ten Commandments as well as violates many other instructions in the Bible. (but there are many other sins that I am guilty of)

Abortion is the result of people's resistance to practicing good boundaries and self-control. People have to see that their actions and choices affect other people as well as themselves. Often the weak and innocent pay the price for a lack of foresight.

Our bodies are precious gifts from God and He has made them the temple of His Holy Spirit. We are given the gift of our physical union to bind a husband and wife together to form a strong connection along with their promises, love, and kindness so they can raise a family together and guide them according to God's principles. Because of our sinful nature's we are prone to seek our own way instead of trusting God. Instead of taking the time to get to know people, and their characters, and then do the work of building a good relationship, we rush things, seeking only the privileges without the responsibilities. God has given us methods to keep from having babies that do not involve killing them, while still allowing husbands and wives to share physical intimacy and affection. That doesn't relieve us of the responsibility to form a strong foundation before we have them.

We must love our children and give them a strong foundation. In their brokeness people sometimes seek love through physical connections alone, not realizing they have all the love they need through Jesus. He will heal their brokeness if they will release their anger and forgive, along with turning from their sins and asking for His forgiveness. He will then give them the strength to face the world with all the pain and brokeness and help others to find peace and endurance through the Holy Spirit, prayer, and all our other resources given in the Bible. You can then share this gift with others.

The wages of sin is death. However, the death is not only ours. Sometimes it is the death of innocent people, babies. Some don't agree that babies are innocent, but we can debate that another time. I could be wrong.

I agree that children are blessings as the Bible says. I am so grateful for mine and the others in my life.

Abortion is most definitely murder.
Many people have had abortions and been granted forgiveness but I would be sickened to think that a person would use it as a form of birth control.
It all boils down to when do you believe life begins. I feel that it is at conception.
