Prayer Request Forum (Make a request for prayer or Show support to those who have)

Greetings All
I thought it would be nice to have a place to leave Prayer Requests. I frequent the chat area and at least once daily someone asks for prayer support; which I think is wonderful. So, having thought about it for a while... and asking around...this idea came to be. Since chat is only used by a small portion of us... there has to be a better way to reach out. If you have something you would like others to pray about for you, please consider leaving it here (in as much or as little detail as you feel comfortable). If you are willing to pray for someone else's request, perhaps leave a comment showing your support.
I am a relatively new member of New Life. In a very short period of time, I have come to appreciate this community a great deal. God's work is evident daily here and for that I am thankful. A suggestion was made to the moderators, and I am sure they are working on it diligently... but until then... I hope this is useful and I hope people will consider posting, to show that a prayer forum would be utilized. Thanks for your time!
God be with Each of You!!!

I have a very important prayer request. We are in business with my husband's family. It is a huge family run business. We are well known across several states for the impact we have with those with whom we do business. It began when my parent-in-laws who are in their mid 80's were destitute and had to work day and night to hang on. It has evloved in the last 26 years to what it is today. My husband and his brother and their spouses (me as one) have helped build the business to what it is today. Almost all the family is involved in the business including sons/daughters in-laws and now there are business issues evolving due to family. (not money issues except for succesion plans) It is overwhelming and has triggered suicidal tendancies on the part of some. I know God is in control. I know it is not as bad as some think and can be worked out. I ask, that God in His infinite wisdom would surround us with his protection and healing both above and below, before and behind, and side to side. God is able.

Thank you. I greatly covet and treasure all prayers. Please feel free to place this on any other prayer chains you are a part of.

I'm not sure who you are (ie, if you're a known or unknown) but thanks for my birthday wish! It's much appreciated.

My co-worker just asked for prayer (I told her we were having our Spring Week of Prayer) for a nephew of hers who's begun the nasty habit of stealing from their house and she doesn't know how to approach him about it. I figured "more prayer, more power!" so since I saw this opportunity to ask for same - voila! Thanks in advance, I know she will be grateful - stranger or no!

Greetings Karlene,
I will indeed pray for your friend. Loss of trust with any family member is difficult. Thanks for sharing and you are right about the "More Prayer" never hurts to ask for extra. God be with You.

I request prayer for a daily sadness I feel because I feel as though my son doesn't care about me at all.
I feel totally unimportant to him (Larry) . . . he never ever calls to say hello or to see if I'm okay (I'm 71).
If I see him he doesn't ask if I need anything or if everything is okay . . . it hurts so much . . . We aren't
having issues . . . if I see him and leave . . .he'll say "love ya Ma." But it doesn't feel like it. It has caused me great depression for years and years. Yes, I need to accept the fact that you can't get milk from
a toaster . I can't tell him how I feel . . . he'll tell me he works his a__ off and he doesn't need
this s__t." I pray for mercy from my son. He is 53. Thank you so much . . . Jesus loves me this I
know.

hi Carole,
i can understand your sadness. it sounds like your son doesn't care even tho' he may. perhaps you depend too much on your son for emotional support. it helps to have support elsewhere. i am not minimizing your pain. i've had my share with my son, but the pain is less when i get support from others rather than him. if he doesn't want to communicate with me, that's his choice. i can only do my part in showing him my love within limits and keep praying he will want more relationship when he is ready. prayer is sometimes all we can do after communicating lovingly but firmly with those we love. hope this shows you're not alone.
love, prayers, and blessings in Christ,
Mia

I am so sorry to hear you go through this. I do pray that the Lord softens his heart and make your son see how he is dishonoring you. That he takes the verse Honor your mother and father that he may live long and have a good life to the heart and that he fears God all for the glory of Jesus Amen. May God fill you with His unending love through Christ Jesus. Always.
Bless u.

Please pray for my friend Kathy. She just lost her 18 year old son to a terrible disease. She lost her husband to this same disease 17 years ago and has another son with this terminal disease who is 17. He will eventually die as well. She is a woman of strong faith but Im sure she is so sad and in such grief right now and can use as many prayers as possible. Also her surviving son Pat as he knows he will also die soon from this same debillitating illness. He need many prayers too. He is a christian as well praise God.
Thank you
