Prayer Request Forum (Make a request for prayer or Show support to those who have)

Greetings All
I thought it would be nice to have a place to leave Prayer Requests. I frequent the chat area and at least once daily someone asks for prayer support; which I think is wonderful. So, having thought about it for a while... and asking around...this idea came to be. Since chat is only used by a small portion of us... there has to be a better way to reach out. If you have something you would like others to pray about for you, please consider leaving it here (in as much or as little detail as you feel comfortable). If you are willing to pray for someone else's request, perhaps leave a comment showing your support.
I am a relatively new member of New Life. In a very short period of time, I have come to appreciate this community a great deal. God's work is evident daily here and for that I am thankful. A suggestion was made to the moderators, and I am sure they are working on it diligently... but until then... I hope this is useful and I hope people will consider posting, to show that a prayer forum would be utilized. Thanks for your time!
God be with Each of You!!!

Hi Kathleen, welcome to this forum. Your desire to find a church can be very frustrating, but here are a few tips to get you started. Get a list of churches available in your area. The phone directory or your local Sat. paper should have this. Ask for God's guidance and leadership as yu decide. Narrow down the list to 10 - 15 churches and then use the internet to look up each church's website. Alot of churches have detailed websites listing their focus, faith statement, and programs they offer. Once again, narrow it down, this time to 3 - 4 churches. make a note of their time of worship and address. Promise youself that you will not chose until you visit at least 3 churches. Continue to pray that God will reveal the place He has in mind for you. If you need to, go back to the original list and chose 3 more.
Another way to connect to christian women is to check out the church's small groups. Many churches open this up to everyone, you don't need to feel you can't go because you don't attend that church. God bless your search

Hi Kathleen,
I'm sorry that you feel lonely. I lost my husband a couple of weeks ago and I understand then emptiness inside when it's so quiet.
Do you live alone? I found that going back to Church was the best thing I could do for me. I am going to re-connect with my Church family, too. But I do have a lot of wonderful friends online that help me to understand that I am never alone. Kathleen, I care (((hug))) Please contact me if you want to talk. ok?

Hello Carolyn, I am so sorry that you lost your husband two weeks ago. That has to be so hard for you. Especially around the holidays. Yet you have such a good attitude. God bless you. I am so glad that you are going to church and reaching out to other women and people. You need the support.

For the concerns of Salvation, I have a prayer request I would like to forward on to you. I have a very dear friend by the name of Anna Jarombek. Anna is a friend of mine from a Co-ed Soccer team that I play for here in the Twin Cities. Anna is 28 years young, and is a recent graduate of the U of M’s Pharmacy School here in the Twin Cities. As a Pharm D, her specialty is in Geriatric care. She is a volunteer for the Cancer Society and AIDS communities here locally, and has such an incredible heart for people. She even use to compete as a swimmer for various philanthropic groups in search for a cure for Malaria victims across the globe. She doesn’t even realize this, but it was because of her heart that I found myself questioning what I was doing in my life, and reminded me of who it is that I am supposed to be in our Lord and Savior. Anna was raised in the Lutheran Church. She currently lives with her fiancé (another incredible person who also needs The Lord), and is going to be married in October 2010.

I don’t know if Anna knows The Lord or not. She has this incredible heart that can only be from God, but may be a back-slidden Christian just as easily as she may only be a non-believing Churchianian. She recently shared with me how she and her fiancé recently joined the United Church of Christ. Obviously – this alone has me greatly concerned for both of them.

I covet your prayers for Salvation for Anna Jarombek. Please if you would pass this on to as many prayer warriors as possible – I would eternally appreciate it!

Thank you so much for all you do!

Your brother in Christ Jesus,

Rich Yarger

Hello Rich...
I will keep Anna and her fiance in my prayers...I pray that they will see the Lord at work in all that they do by day and by night... that they surrender their hearts to Jesus completely through repentence of their sins and a desire to live and serve in freedom.. May they come to embrace the gift of John 3:16 in this beautiful season...may the Holy Spirit take up residence in their hearts and never let go...may their hearts be filled with the joy of the Lord as we celebrate the miracle of His birth.

And bless you Rich for your loving heart. Trust that the Holy Spirit will empower you to speak the right words to your friends...words that will speak to their hearts and minds and be blessed by Almighty God.

In His tender love and mercy,
~dayle~

Bryan,
Please know I will keep your son in my prayers also.

Are you able to talk to him? or rather... will he talk to you openly? If not, please consider conacting New Life (1-800-New-Life) to learn of resources in your area to help him. It may even be something they can offer you to talk to him with more results... not sure.

God Bless you and yours, today and always.
