where is the chat drop down window that was at the bottom of the connect page

Umm, it's been moved. Once you login, look in the bottom right corner of your browser. Click on the chat arrows to try it!

I am begging for something to change w/ the "new chat room". It is very frustrating for people to use.

There appear to be tons of folks logged into the room... but they are not really there.
It cuts off sentences at the end.
It is small and hard to read.
It boots you off for no appearent reason.
It cannot be moved to a different location on your screen.
It pops up when you are trying to surf the rest of the site.

There are some really good folks who no longer come to the room and still others who have taken their pages down, because of all this.

I just hate that it is tearing apart what was a good thing.
Please, can this be fixed. Surely there is a better system for New Life to use for the chat.

I agree with you - they need to fix this soon. I have not been able to chat at all since going to the new platform.

I miss having the chats to help with grief/weight issues

Well, they did do a nice upgrade to chat to fix a number of the issues. It can now be opened as a separate window (click the pop-out button next to the chat button). That's a window that can be resized and moved around. They also, most importantly fixed the problem of sentences being hacked off at the end.

As for the list of users, I looked into the ning.com forums and they are intentionally showing all the users logged on with the intention they can be chatted to and to be similar to friendster and myspace sites. Sigh. I am going to try to find the right place to recommend they identify users in chat differently from users that are logged into the website (dim the non-chatters, show 2 lists, provide a button).

Mind you, the chat software is totally under the control and management of ning.com the community site, not new life.

I am really having trouble with the new chat site. Everytime I try to chat I get kicked out. I am on satelitte so there may be some delay but I can't ever chat.

Any thougths?? Any option of using the old chat???

I can't even find the place to turn the chat on?????????? I was on it last night, and went to another site, came back and it was totally gone and even today, I cannot find how to get back on. Please help.
