One thing that has been very good is that instead of falling asleep to the horrible input of some detective show on tv I put the Biblegateway.com bible on ...it is read and that is what he listens to as he falls asleep .
I listen too ...and in the day time I sometimes have it on ...
The wrestling is still going on against the mental and emotional damage...I am more and more just tending to my walk and relying upon God to work out what He will in anyone that is responding....those that do not respond to all that the Lord has done ...and seek Him ...what else can be done...
It is GOD who calls ...and saves ,....those who are willing to seek and to obey ...and to keep on doing so for the rest of their earthly lives..

One gentleman pointed out the fruit of the person being saved is regeneration which is seen in a growing knowledge and behavior in alignment with the truth of the word..A Hunger for the truth ...a growing in holiness...singular devotion to the Lord .
Those that love the Lord hear his voice. The follow HIM and no other .There are many 'gatherings" spoken of in the word

The tares,roaring lion, wolves, false prophets and teachers, eagles [ birds of prey] are AMONG the sheep!

Note they make a PREY of believers by stealth, lying signs and wonders, they make MERCHANDISE....they teach for profit...where as we are told 'freely have you received , freely give.." what is that THE WORDS of LIFE! Freely!

A conversation I had with God, shortly after becoming a Christian...
Why does it hurt to love You?
Because of sin;
Sin hurts.
Look at Jesus on the cross.
That hurt!
Love, isn't suppose to hurt.
Love is supposed to be glorious.
Ponder that for a minute…
But,
Because of our sin,
Our selfish pride,
We do things that hurt others
And ourselves.
Why can't we just let go and choose True Love?
Because we haven't known True Love;
We haven't known Jesus.
It's difficult to step out of our comfort zone of sin.
That which we are use to.
But God knows… it's worth it!
Well…
I've never been one to take the easy way out.
I want to experience True Love!
I want to experience God.

Have you ever struggled with perfectionism issues? The more we realize that we are not perfect, the more we are thankful that God is. I am just now learning to be more gracious & forgiving of myself. Confess it, feel sorry about it, then focus on how wonderful He is. : )

As you pack away those ornaments and take down the tree, just remember...
Christmas isn't over!
While this time of year is focused on Jesus' birth, Christmas actually means:
Christ (Who is Jesus, the Messiah, our Savior)
and
Mas (or mass, which means: celebration)
Jesus is alive and present all year round, and He cares for each and every one of us! So, let's have Christmas everyday in 2009. May you continue to reach out to Him in spirit and truth and have peace and joy in your hearts.
