My name is Carolyn. I live in the Pacific Northwest, home of Nintendo, Starbucks and Microsoft. . We have 9 terrific grandkids - oh yeah and a couple of kids that gave them to us :) My aging mother is living with us, along with 2 cats that allow us to stay as long as they are fed and the kitty litter changed.

This is so hard....

The loss of a spouse is very hard. But added to all that is the paperwork that has to be done before you can get an insurance and that means you need a Death Certificate that takes a couple of weeks. Then there is the payments that you will no longer be able to make, dealing with things you didn't know about then having to clean up something new that catches you completely off guard.

I stand in AWE of God’s mercy and grace!!

This morning, I went back to Church. I hadn’t been in years because of my husband. When I arrived, I had a hard time fighting back the tears. As I entered the Sanctuary, a lady I had barely known way back then, grabbed me and just took me under her arm. As I shared all I had been through, she had so many encouraging things to share.

My husband passed away this morning...

Thank you all for your love and prayers.

Dennis passed away this morning. He was so sick he just couldn't come back. He needed to go.
I will miss him. And I am hanging onto Jesus.

I get depressed sometimes especially in the winter, but I know it will pass. I am worried about finances too and that stresses me out more than anything else, but God always provides.
