The mind is an amazing device. The portions of it that contain information too painful for you to handle it locks away, so that you may never be able to access it. Eventually, these memories will resurface, but only when the mind believes you are ...
Hello Layla...

Amen Chris! I pray that you and your wife both get the open eyes that God can give and that the healing continues to the point of LIVING, not surviving.

Layla,
FIRST of all none of what you are experiencing is stupid! I too am a survivor, I question sometimes if I make a big deal out of it...but, after 19 years of processing and healing I can honestly say NO! I am not making a big deal out of it!...
Layla,
You break my heart. I have been married to a survivor for 10 years and am only beginning to understand what that means. I have spent 10 years making her pain worse because I did not get what she was going through. My wife has said in the pa...

Hi Layla...
You have been on my heart and in my prayers. God is sooooo good! Jesus will carry you through, day by day.
There is no greater joy than to walk out of the darkness into the light...truly a new creation in Christ! The confidence we have in Him is an anchor for our souls. Let Him be your strength and your hope. God is Truth...we can trust in Him always...His Word stands forever. Each day you can visit God's Word to have your hope renewed and reinforced.
There are many stories in the Bible of people who were in deep anguish, and in the midst of hopelessness, they cried out to God knowing he is the source of our hope...and He keeps His promises. ~When Paul and Silas were on death row they prayed and sang hymns to God. (Acts 16:24-25)
I pray that every day you will give thanks to the Lord with a heart full of gratitude for all he has done. Thank Him for his love, His faithfulness, for sending his Son Jesus, for His mercy...and for the fact that He chose YOU to serve Him.
Better days are ahead... I wish you joy! Believe!!!
love, dayle
