Clear Sky

It was going to be a warm day and me, being a photo nut, was looking for a good place to drive to for some really great pictures. Our sky around here leaves much to be desired, especially after a day or 2 of warm temperatures. There is a haze (pollution) that keeps the distant mountains in a fog – or not seen at all. My daughter and I decided to head to the ocean. It’s about a 2 hour drive away. As we got closer to the sea, the sky grew more gray and foggy. We decided to have a great lunch and enjoy the drive back.

Luke 12:54-56 And he said also to the people, When ye see a cloud rise out of the west, straightway ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it is. And when ye see the south wind blow, ye say, There will be heat; and it cometh to pass. Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time?

There are times when things don’t come out the way we want them to. And sometimes it’s because our focus is on the wrong goal.
We had a wonderful day of just mom and daughter fellowship.

Psalms 77:13 Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary: who is so great a God as our God?

Lord, thank You for those times when thing don’t work out the way we think they should. Thank You for those unexpected blessings.
Amen

Overcast/foggy days make for the best pictures, i'm sure there's a metaphore in there somewhere...

Carolyn, I think you still enjoyed your day...I love driving to the beach with my daughter too. You can always go back..nice excuse to go again...I like storms too. You know sometimes its not about us at all, it may be the other person's focus. I think most of us think we are being punished or something, when we dont always get our way. And then there is the thought that it might not be good for us, so we are denied to save us. I know a guy that got a new sports boat, he went out to race and show off...and he died. You loose your discernment if you are to focused on pleasures of this world. My grand mother..used to say..he cant see beyond the nose on his face. And like I said it may have nothing to do with us...wrong timing...But I still agree with Thanking Him for those times and unexpected blessings ...just the same...nice post...in Jesus's name..Amen
